Established in 2015, Haymaker Nordic Center is our newest location, offering a more relaxed skiing experience with breathtaking views of the Yampa Valley. Located just minutes from downtown Steamboat Springs, Haymaker provides easy access to quality Nordic skiing.

Our trails feature gentler terrain ideal for beginners, families, and those looking for a more leisurely ski experience. The open meadows and rolling hills provide perfect learning conditions while still offering enough variety to keep experienced skiers engaged.

Haymaker is also home to our dog-friendly trails, making it the perfect destination for those who want to bring their four-legged companions along for the adventure.

Haymaker Dog Rules

Just a friendly reminder for you and your fuzzy friends...
so we can all be safe and happy!

DOG DAYS:

Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. These days are subject to change. Dogs will not be allowed during event days.

Warning!

Haymaker Nordic Center insurance no longer has any coverage for any dogs or dog related activities or events.

You are now responsible to insure your dog.

Dogs are most likely are insured under your homeowner’s policy.

It has been brought to our attention that the following breeds of dogs may not be covered by homeowners’ policies:

Doberman Pincher

Pit Bull

Rottweiler

Chow Chow

Wolf Dog and Wolf Hybrids

Presa Canario (Canary Dog)

Akita

German Shepard

Husky

Mastiff

Use at your own risk. We are not responsible for incidents between dogs and the public It is your responsibility to provide insurance for your dog.

To ensure the future of dogs on the trail at Haymaker Nordic Center these rules must be followed.

Picking up dogs’ waste is a crucial step to ensure the safety and enjoyment to all customers at Haymaker Nordic Center.

It is your responsibility to provide insurance for your dog.

Dog rules

Dogs are not allowed in the Haymaker Building.

All Dogs MUST be leashed in the parking lot, around the building and on the trail in the “On Leash Zone”.

If your dog will be skiing off leash in the “Leash not required Zone” they must be under strict verbal commands.

All dogs MUST have a collar with identifying information.

Dog Days are: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. These days are subject to change. Dogs will not be allowed during event days.

All dog waste MUST be picked up and deposited in a trash can.

Ski Jouring will not be allowed for the remainder of the season. We apologize.

Well-behaved dogs are always welcome with a valid season or daily pass.

Should my dog and I not follow these rules set in place by the Haymaker Nordic Center, I understand that both the dog and human season pass/daily pass may be revoked.
